Topic: eDiscovery Challenges with the Internet of Things and Emojis
Presented By: Matt Mahon, Certified eDiscovery Specialist at Ricoh USA
Sponsored By: Keyser and Wells Fargo National Bank
Catered By: Conceptually Social

Organizations face monumental Internet of Things (IoT) and information management challenges today. The presentation provides insights to the magnitude of IoT's impact and how the challenge will exponentially increase if not addressed properly. Compliance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (A.B. 375) will be discussed. The presentation includes IoT data forensics and the amendments to FRE 902 in December of 2017.

Additionally, the session will cover the explosion of emoji and gifs in workplace communication and how they need to be included in the eDiscovery strategy. Will you need an emoji translator?

This session will be presented by Matt Mahon, Certified eDiscovery Specialist at Ricoh USA. Matt has eleven years of experience with Ricoh supporting organizations with information governance and litigation support strategies – including data remediation, litigation hold, preservation, collection, data processing, and review. Matt is a self-proclaimed nerd and has a BA in Mathematics/Applied Sciences from UC San Diego. During his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids, and coaching Little League Baseball
