message from the president-elect

February is a busy month for our Chapter! Be on the lookout for the 2021-2022 Slate of Officers & Directors. We will be sending an announcement email for your consideration and vote in late February. The Chapter will be sending out a survey about how the Board of Directors can best serve you. We have had many challenges and changes to our industry and our positions. The Board wants to know what has worked this past year, what you would like to change, and what new ideas you would like to share. Your feedback is vital to keeping our Chapter on track, so please be sure to complete the upcoming survey. I want to close out this message with a special thanks to our Business Partners. I have been impressed with the level of flexibility and clear willingness to help from all of our Business Partners. Thank you for stepping up and supporting our Chapter and our firms!

Topic: Avoiding COVID Related Malpractice Claims
Presented By:  Kim Noble with Thompson Flanagan
Sponsored By:  Iconic Technologies

Kim Noble, in-House counsel for Thompson Flanagan, will join us to discuss avoiding COVID malpractice claims.  She will be going over what claims she has seen so far and potential future claims.  Also added will be things that lawyers do that make you crazy and how they can get your firm in trouble.

Kim advises lawyers and law firms on insurance coverage, risk management and claims issues.  She joined Thompson Flanagan in 2019 after five years at Argo Pro, managing their lawyers' and accountants' professional liability programs.  Ms. Noble has 26 years of professional liability experience as outside counsel, underwriting management and advisory roles.  Before joining the insurance industry, she was in private practice, representing the Resolution Trust Corporation (FDIC) and numerous insurance companies, concentrating on defending professionals and providing coverage advice under director and officer, lawyers, accountant and employment practices policies. Ms. Noble holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drury University in Business Administration and Economics.  She obtained her law degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City and is licensed to practice law in four states.

Please consider inviting co-workers and other managers in your office interested in learning about this valuable topic.
