Douglas Sylvester is the 8th dean of the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Under his leadership, ASU Law reached historic heights ranked 27th in the nation (up from 40th in 2012, and 58th in 2008) and 9th among public law schools.  Professor Sylvester was also a driving force for the conceptualization and creation of the Beus Center for Law and Society in downtown Phoenix, which is now home to ASU Law and a number of other legal-related organizations including the innovative ASU Law Group and the Arizona Legal Center


A $1500 scholarship to THE Annual conference in Salt Lake City will be drawn at the conclusion of the event.
All members in attendance will be automatically entered into the drawing.  Additionally, if you bring your Managing Partner/Leader from your firm, you will have an additional chance at the $1500 scholarship.

cHAPTER FORUM

The ALA Arizona Chapter website has a new tool call the “Forum.” The forum is a way to engage between members with discussion threads on the ALA Arizona Chapter StarChapter website. 
The “forum” is a 
drop down under the “Member Area” on the main website page, which is restricted to members only.

To post a thread, any member can go to “Member Area”, then “Forum”, then “Start A Thread”. A small pop-up box will ask for the member to provide a “Thread Title” and enter the “New Thread Content”. 
The person can then decide if they want to receive emails whenever a new post to the thread has been completed by checking the “Email me updates on this thread”.
