Announcing the Arizona Chapter 2018 ALA Regional Legal Management Conference Scholarship

This year we will be awarding two scholarships to attend this year's Regional Legal Management Conference WEST (to be held in Austin on October 18-20, 2018). This is an opportunity to receive a maximum reimbursement of $1,500 towards costs to attend the conference. The scholarship is intended to help cover expenses for airfare, half the cost of a hotel room, transportation costs, and registration for the conference. Expenses already covered by your firm or the ALA do not apply. Winners are typically given the option to share a room with another Arizona Chapter attendee.

To enter, please submit the below application no later than May 18, 2018. There are two types of scholarship recipients this year:

GENERAL MEMBER AWARD: This drawing is open to all active members who are current in dues. Active members are those who regularly attend Arizona Chapter Education Events or serve on a Chapter Committee. Members who joined our Chapter for the first time in 2018 are welcome to apply.

FIRST TIME ATTENDEE AWARD: This drawing is open to all active members who have never had an opportunity to attend a regional conference in the past.

Scholarship recipients MUST attend the majority of the Conference sessions and events included in the conference, except in the case of a work or personal related emergency. Recipients, who do not currently serve as a Committee Chair or ALA Board Representative, will be required to write an article for the Chapter website.

To qualify you must be an active member and have not won a scholarship in the past two years. Limit of one scholarship per person. Submit your application by completing the form below.

THE JUDGING PROCESS: A judging panel of your ALA Arizona Chapter peers will review your application and announce winners at the ALA Chapter Lunch on May 22, 2018. You need not be present to win.

All entries are due by Friday, May 18, 2018. Please email sonji.leblanc@dlapiper.com if you have any questions.
