We are delighted to submit for your consideration and vote a 2019-2020 slate comprised of outstanding individuals who bring unique and diverse capabilities. The nominating committee selected the following potential Board Members for the ALA Arizona Chapter’s 2019-2020 Board of Directors based on nominations from Arizona Chapter members and chapter leaders:

We are thrilled to have four Past President’s on our slate (Sonji Le Blanc, Katie Bryant, Jerri S. Buchtel and Sharon Williams), along with several prior board members (Dana Marinaro, Carrie Valenzuela, David Hansen, Teresie Zmyslinski and Sarah Dunne). Tina Vanderpool, who joined the Arizona Chapter in November 2017, is an active member of the Chapter and will be new to the board.

Arizona Chapter Members should vote via the proxy ballot or in person at the Chapter Education Lunch on February 26, 2019 at 11:45 a.m. at the University Club Phoenix, 39 E. Monte Vista Road, Phoenix, AZ 85004.

The vote is either for or against the entire slate. Ballots must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. PST on Monday, February 25, 2019, in order to be counted. A majority of the membership votes are required in order to elect the slate.

The Nominating Committee shall count the ballots and present the results to the members at the next Chapter Education Lunch on March 26, 2019. The newly elected officers and directors shall assume the responsibilities of office no later than April 1.

The nominating committee is grateful to have received an extraordinarily strong pool of qualified candidates who were willing to serve, from which this group was selected. These candidates met the criteria and fit best with the immediate priorities facing the Chapter.
