THANK YOU

Thank you to all that attended our annual holiday party. We raised $615.00 to donate to HALO and we received a lot of blankets and other miscellaneous items to donate to them. Thank you so much! You've made a lot of puppies and kitties happy for the holidays.

Announcing the Arizona Chapter 2018 ALA Annual Conference Scholarship!

This year we will be awarding two scholarships to the 2018 ALA Annual Conference & Expo to be held in National Harbor, Maryland May 3-6, 2018. This is an opportunity to receive up to $3,000 towards costs to attend the conference. The scholarship is intended to help cover your airfare, your hotel, transportation costs and registration for the conference. To enter for an award, submit the attached application for scholarship. This year you will get your name entered for every category on the application for which you qualify. The categories center around both participation in and the elevation of the ALA.

Scholarship recipients MUST attend the majority of the conference sessions and events included in the conference, except in the case of a work or personal related emergency. Recipients who do not currently serve as a local or international Committee Chair or ALA Board Representative, will be required to write an article for the Chapter website.

To qualify for any of the drawings you must be an active member and have not won a scholarship in the past two years. Limit of one scholarship per person. Submit your application to Sharon Williams at swilliams@gblaw.com. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, January 17, 2018. The drawing will be held at the January 23rd Chapter Education Lunch.
